Tatiana Volosozhar/Maxim Trankov struck gold in the pairs event at Sochi 2014 on Wednesday and earned Russia's second gold medal at these Olympic Winter Games.

Ksenia Stolbova/Fedor Klimov (Russia) claimed the silver medal and the bronze went to Aliona Savchenko/Robin Szolkowy (Germany).

Tatiana Volosozhar/Maxim Trankovdelivered a strong performance to Jesus Christ Superstar but had a few wobbles. They racked up 236.86 points.

Ksenia Stolbova/Fedor Klimov skated flawlessly to The Addams Family and totalled 218.68 points.

Skating to Nutcracker, Savchenko/Szolkowy scored 215.78 points. Szolkowy fell on the triple toe and Savchenko fell on the throw triple axel.

Volosozhar/Trankov earned the 13th Olympic gold medal for Russian pairs.
