General
FROM RUSSIA TO BELARUS
She competed for Russia at junior level before switching to compete for Belarus in July 2010. She moved because she believed she would have a better chance of making the national team and prove herself at international level. She says the idea of changing national teams arose after being crowned the national junior champion in Russia and then being dropped from the national youth team. "It was like a wake-up call. If you want to succeed in sports, you need to change something." (biathlon.com.ua, 10 Jan 2014; sports.ru, 29 Oct 2012; sports.ru, 25 Oct 2011)
