    Sporting philosophy / motto
"Chasing gold every day." (03 Apr 2013)

    General
    WEIGHT PROBLEM
She did not start the World Cup event in Rybinsk, Russia in 2012 due to a weight problem. Her body mass index [BMI] was lower than recommended and she missed several races. Her eating was linked to a breakup with her then boyfriend, Petter Treider. "It happened to me and had not anything to do with the skiing. It was just that I had a very tough period in my life, and I wasn't eating enough." (nettavisen,no, 18 May 2012)

    DRUG-FREE STANCE
In October 2012 she and fellow Norwegian cross-country skier Vibeke Skofterud posted a photo of themselves topless on Twitter in support of drug-free sport. "This is to show our way of saying that we are 100% pure for sports." (sportbild.bild.de, 24 Oct 2012)
