Start of sporting career

Reason for taking up this sport
His love of winter sports stems from the fact that his father was an alpine skier. He was inspired to try biathlon when Bulgaria's Irina Nikulchina won a bronze medal in the women's 10km pursuit event at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City. (biathlonbg.in, 03 Dec 2013)
