GeneralFROM SKIP TO THIRD
She skipped the US team at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, but a series of disappointing performances reduced her to tears after several of the matches. She decided to take a year's break from the sport before being invited to join childhood friend Erika Brown's team. While initially finding it difficult to play as a third rather than as skip, she has learned to trust Brown's judgement on the rink. "It was hard to give up the control of being a skip and trust in our skip that she's making the right calls and she's going to make that shot. The second year, it got a lot easier."
